400bhp sti

Hi, im sure this has been asked a hundred times but ive got to ask again.....

Ive got an 53reg sti ppp running all standard at 305bhp
Im wanting 400bhp, what mods do i need?
I would settle for 370-380bhp if its a lot easiler

Thanks

Sc42, injectors, front mount, wing mounted induction kit and map should do it.

blackpoolrock 31 March 2013 09:50 PM

i was running 379 with the following

FMIC
Hedders
3"downpipe
3"exhaust
In wing air filter
Remap from Andrew Carr

Without the FMIC i was running 339

hope this helps

So you gained 40bhp just by adding a front mount, you sure ??
What turbo you using ?

Depends on your budget...

I'm running 429/380 on a 03 sti

TSL headers
full decat 3" system
SC46 billet
Lateral performance injectors
RCM filter
Syvec's ecu
Perrin FMIC
JGM map

no i changed the down pipe aswell - there is a vid on here somewhere and on standard turbo. When the vid was posted i was told the usual that it cant be correct as standard turbo wouldn't have it - so i went to 2 other RR and got very similar results. The thred is on here somewhere !

Cheap and 400hp don't go well, Why is 400 your goal?

Doesn't have to be 400, just fancy upgrading the bhp 350 would do

As a matter of interest which other rolling roads did you go to, as that doesn't appear to be in the same thread you refer to?

Away lads no fighting....just want to know the faster way to get to370 ish bhp..
If I give andrew carr 3 grand would he get 400bhp???

400 hp cost a fortune
Everything else needs upgrading too at this level
Go for 350/70 loads cheaper and if you choose wisely prob better point to point B road blaster.

Strap a bigger blower to it, fully de cat it with a harvey uppipe and a decent panel filter. The Sti pink injectors should cope up to 400 give or take, you can add a fpr to it to try and eek a bit more out of them so they are not working 100% flat out and a good map should see 370 - 400 depending on turbo used etc

If you went for something like a sc42 then you may want to consider swapping your top mount for a fmic and adding in a cold air feed with a set of injectors to get the best from it, other wise drop down a size on the blower to cope with the what you have In place and save a few £££'s

It all depends on what you want from the car, pub numbers ;) or quick "get up and go" spool from lowdown :thumb:
