The £72,000 2 door STI, limited to 10.

Here's one for the die hard Subaru fan with deep pockets. An Impreza with a 2.2l producing 500bhp/508ftlb.

The Impreza Revolution STI

Deep pockets and no brains maybe?.

chopperman 25 March 2013 05:09 PM

Here it is on their website

g7prs 25 March 2013 05:11 PM

The cosworth ones struggled to sell so this has no chance.

+1 and steering wheel center is awful

rickya 25 March 2013 05:18 PM

If it was upto £45k it would have been interesting.

wrx9181 25 March 2013 05:19 PM

I know that's revolutions show car as from quiet a few incarnations but ..... 72 k for a second hand scooby?

Tidgy 25 March 2013 05:33 PM

72k :o holy moly.

scoobywho2 25 March 2013 05:34 PM

I saw this at the ring last october and it is lethal, Not sure its worth the 72k price though.

Could easily build a similar spec for half the money.

hill79 25 March 2013 05:42 PM

Looks quite nice, probably goes well too but if you want a track focused weapon for £72k I'm not sure why would you pick this over the alternatives - for example, a used Radical can be had for half the price, spend the change on a comfy towing barge and a trailer.

jayallen 25 March 2013 05:45 PM

Stronger block? Its just a SCDB same as any other 2.0 newage sti.....oh and 72k lol

Tidgy 25 March 2013 05:49 PM

prob get any of the decent tuners to build it for you for 30k with change.

MattyB1983 25 March 2013 05:54 PM

Yep, id rather buy a type r for 5 grand and then throw 25k at it. Will be as good if not better than the linked car.

rickya 25 March 2013 06:03 PM

I think its just a good marketing exercise & one that may earn them the mainstream recognition & business that e.g Litchfields now enjoys.

SRSport 25 March 2013 06:11 PM

Could have a good and valid point there.

marshall332bhp 25 March 2013 06:17 PM

Well I hope they use a different body shop to the show car. Fit and finish is sh1te. They will never sell a single one.

stevebt 25 March 2013 06:23 PM

Its just a modified car for £72k You could do it yourself cheaper and be in the same position of owning a modified car.

53 25 March 2013 06:33 PM

Love the guys at Revolution but they've dropped a bollock with this tbh :) Doesn't look anywhere near the fit and finish you'd expect from an 'edition' car and £72k, I'd rather buy Frayz's ;)

T5NYW 25 March 2013 06:34 PM

I think meant limited to 1 but printers added a zero

Tony

scoobyboy1 25 March 2013 07:29 PM

Fair play to what they have tried to achieve!! Dont forget there only a smallish company compared to others who have been doing limited edition jap models such as Prodrive, Extreme, Litchfields etc etc!!
OK 72k is a bit excessive, but im sure they could have done without quite a lot of stuff and bought the price down.

My perfect limited edtion Subaru, would have a forged 2,1litre engine, some nice suspension and some big ass brakes and about 400-450bhp whack a limited edition plaque on the cosole and sell it for 40k, bet you would still make a big profit!!!:luxhello:

frayz 25 March 2013 07:44 PM

Lunacy on so many levels.

If that's worth £72k grand then my cars just gone up in price!

Give me £72k, ill give you a car better built with more performance and a big lump of money back to spend on Ring tickets.

Failing that I can drive you to the nearest Porsche dealer who also gives you a warranty on your sub 8 min car. Lmao. :D

The Pink Ninja 25 March 2013 07:58 PM

Andy F`s Road going 8 second car only cost him £30k to build(I say only :D), Granted he did most of the labour but even if you doubled it to include it, as Ste said its just a modified car at the end of the day nothing limited about it, It was a 4 door and now its a 2 door that looks like a 4 door :).....I know what i would rather have.

banny sti 25 March 2013 08:07 PM

Mine has just gone up in value :D

Alan Jeffery 25 March 2013 08:41 PM

We're building one just like it as we speak. (JDM Hawk) We've chosen an EJ22 stroker. I don't think the man's bill will be as much as that!

Worlasshasansti 25 March 2013 08:57 PM

I take it in the link the price is listed? ( can't be bothered to look )

I only ask as obviously this whole build was covered in jap performance and in the final instalment they stated they were hoping to build 10 cars in total and price should be around 45k??

It's a nice car to look at from a distance but 70 odd grand..... Aye whatever, although having said that it took them 2 hours to put 2 tyres on for me the other week after I had taken the wheels over in my work van...... Yeah they were busy but I would think someone could have taken 10 mins to stick them on the rims for me instead of having me standing in the shop for 2 hours with a face like a smacked ar*e

Mick
