Blast from the past :)

Hi!

Remember me? Its been a while, and I must admit, I only recognise a few names on here now, so many newbies!!

I wanted to see if you guys still do the Posers Cruise on the first Saturday of each month? I have taken up photography, and would love to get some shots of all the cars (if no one minds of course!)

Hi Stranger

Yes they still do it

Not in the numbers you may remeber but still a good turn out

frayz 11 February 2013 02:11 PM

Hi Em,

Yes, the club has had a major refresh of recent and its getting busier all the time.
Not only do we have the Southend run but also a good monthly gathering at a pub in Little Baddow called The Rodney inn. (Happens to be this Sunday if you fancy it)
Lots of meets, shows and events coming up, the events page will be updated regularly.

Also check out the Essex Subaru Owners Club on Facebook for up to the minute updates on the ESOC.

Hope you can make it along,

Frayz :)

Pleased to have me back, Nate?
How are you Phil and Frayz?

Sadly I don't have another Scooby to show off, and I miss my Type R loads!

frayz 11 February 2013 07:35 PM

No need for an Impreza. Lots of the older crowd no longer have Subarus.

Everyone is welcome. :)

EmEm 11 February 2013 07:42 PM

Thanks Frayz! How many of the "old crowd" are left? I drive round in an 08 GT TDi 170 Sport Golf, so not too normal!

Oh, and I have requested to join the FB group too!

frayz 11 February 2013 08:02 PM

Not many left with Imprezas, but a few of us are still here.

Facebook page is here :)

Thanks for the link. Have you still got a Scooby Frayz?

frayz 11 February 2013 08:18 PM

Yes the old girl is still here. The same one? i hear you ask... yep lol

Couple of pics of it in this thread, post 8

Still looks pretty much the same too lol.

As said, a few older faces still lurk about, but many have moved onto pastures new. The club has been refreshed this year with alot of help from new members and has been rebranded to the Essex Subaru Owners Club.
Its gathering momentum all the time with newbies popping up left right and centre, so nice to see some of the pre ESOC members drop in like yourself.
Everyone is welcome along to our meets and events, keep an eye on the stickies at the top of the ESOC forum.

Yep... That's the one, its looking good, and as mental as always! Wish I could have kept my Type R, but after getting a new job in Romford, I had to let it go! The 40 mile trip a day would have killed it, and that would have been such a waste! :(

I am tempted to get another though... Maybe the hatchback version? Not sure what the petrol would be like... Diesel is so expensive now days!

I definitely will try to make it to some events this year, especially with my camera!. My cousin's little boy is crazy about Scoobys so thinking about taking him along to a meet so he can actually get up close and personal to a few... Another reason I wish I still had mine!!

frayz 11 February 2013 09:23 PM

Well now you know we're here. Come get involved :)

That's me on all counts then. :lol1:

And everyone is most welcome. :)

I can recommend the pub meet. Nice country setting & good grub. Perfect. :thumb:
