Hi what power was the car runnig hp/torque and has it been used in conjuction with launch control

Pictures would help buddy
Im assuming its a 5 speed clutch which is compatable to use with six speed

Cheers

BRAVEHEART_STI 09 January 2013 08:30 PM

the car did have launch control , but was not used ( not once )

power wise 504bhp/494ftlb

road use only , no track use or 1/4 mile

the exedy twin and triple are both the same in 5 and 6 speed form matey

only things that differ is one needs the pedal ( clutch pedal ) adjusted slightly via the adjuster at the top of teh pedal itsself to give the correct bite point from experience from fitting them to both 5 and 6 speed in the past

in general though an exedy twin or tripple doesnt really come in 5 nor 6 speed form , only 1 fitment that fits both

tbh for what this clutch is rated to i doubt u would ever need it in a 5 speed ?

can put up pics if need be , if anybody is interested and not just to look at lol :thumb:

If I could sell my exedy twin I would defo be interested in this, can you put up some pics please

stevebt 09 January 2013 09:19 PM

Banny buy it anyway then sell your twin plate. Twin plate isn't enough for your car with others driving it ;)

What torque can these take and what are these like for day to day driving compared to the twin plate?
Cheers

Alot.driving wise if you have used a twin plate you will know that these clutches are on and off so not really your most easiest clutch for use around town.but then again if your use to driving with one you will be alright.the clutch to me looks to be practically new as you don't really get much meat on the disc.a bargain.

JdcTypeR 12 January 2013 12:44 PM

My twin plate is slipping and it seems this could be more cost effective than buying replacement parts as they seem to be very expensive.
As for clutch operation I quite like the feel of the twin plate do it shouldn't be a problem

I'm running an Exedy CarbonR tripple plate in my Type R
Awesome bit of kit for Sprint/Track/Hillclimb use and will take all the abuse you throw at it, but wouldn't want to use as a daily drive tbh.... triple plates are a lot noisier than twins :thumb:
