what oil does everyone use in theyre turbo classics :)

a lot depends on use/driving style/mods but as a min. you want 10w40 semi-synth

personally we won't use anything less than a proper ester based race spec 10w40

10w50 fully synthetic, i've used in my classic the last 6 years:thumb:

checked service history on the car and the guy always used 5w 40 semi synthetic.
is this normal.

That will be fully synthetic and yes that's ok to use also :)

not what i would advise in a "classic"..................

change to something more suited this time round IMO

Subaru actually advised it in a classic, even had mobil formulate a 5w40 fully synthetic back in the 90's to run in scoobs, its the 5w30 that isnt advised unless extreme cold temps and then with a warning.

so what shall i use 10w 40 or 5w 40 fully synthetic? i dont mind the price aslong as im putting the correct oil in dont want to be ruining my scooby especially when only recently had it :)
