Hi I have a type r the log book say its a 1998 and the vin number is an import

This is the information when googled the vin number

G10 GC8E2DD 406 830 2C EJ20K F4WD MT WRXRASTI

Can anyone help me as to weather it's a v4 or a v5 thanks John :thumb:

I'm pretty sure that if your coilpack is central on the inlet manifold then it's a v4 and if its sitting to the right then it's a v5.

Thanks for that but the car don't have any engine I brought it as a bare shell only thing that makes me think v4 is the ecu wires there's 3 which is the same as a v4 how many does a v 5 have :thumb:

Gc8e2dd is a V4 mate.
