Ant 07 December 2012 08:21 AM

Any planned for Nottingham ?

Matteeboy 07 December 2012 08:24 AM

Is Speye a weather guru?

Sounds like fun! Howling down here in Cornwall.

Bristol98 07 December 2012 09:00 AM

He's more accurate than the MET office! :D:D:D

I know I know, that's not too hard!

ScoobyDoo555 07 December 2012 09:48 AM

No snow on Welsh Border yet

Warmer today than it was yesterday too. Feckin heatwave :D

If it does Snow in Kirkby then it won't settle due to the heat from the burning cars :D

Wurzel 07 December 2012 02:46 PM

It's been snowing on and off all day here but as I have winter tyres on my car and am not in the UK there won't be any problems getting home :D

Heard it here first? Yes. But heard it from the Met Office three days ago (as a forecast) and from ECMWF as a possibility a week ago. ;)

That's more honest. Thank you. :D

Matteeboy 07 December 2012 06:46 PM

Weatherpro by MeteoGroup (smartphone app) is extremely good too.

greenonedave 07 December 2012 07:00 PM

It will turn out the usual doom and gloom, lucky to get a couple of inches of snow and it all will grind to a halt !

Stevesbluewrx 08 December 2012 12:07 AM

Speye, you are a legend.

When you say east, will this be North east or south?

Will the weather affect Heathrow? (area wise)

Cheers
Steve

An0n0m0us 08 December 2012 05:45 PM

What's happening with 'the beast from the east' as it's predicted it will also hit London and the South East? Yet if I look at other weather forecasts for where I live there is no suggestion of snow. Once again these weather sites all say different forecasts.

BlkKnight 10 December 2012 03:03 PM

local forecasts (High Wycombe) don't look too bad (-2 +/-).

Possibility of a bit of a dusting on Thurs / Fri - then warms up again.

/edit. Things get interesting from the 20th :)

Martin2005 10 December 2012 04:21 PM

I think he's dropped one on this.

Looks like the Met office got it bang on, and Speye (the legend apparently) got it badly wrong. Of course things might change.

DYK 10 December 2012 05:12 PM

Lovely and sunny today..

Matteeboy 10 December 2012 05:21 PM

Just been for a surf; 4 degrees when I got out. Toasty!

the shreksta 10 December 2012 05:27 PM

im hoping for a really really cold winter with loads of snow but it probably wont happen

pslewis 10 December 2012 05:38 PM

All mention of an Artic Blast and Snow have been shelved ..... Friday will see 12 degrees and rain. All of next week is very mild with no sign of snow.

December 24th is forecast to see heavy snow and the 25th is expected to be so bad that no-one will be able to get into work.
