Modifying on a small budget in Essex
 

Hi guys and gals

Am new to the forum so please excuse any mistakes. I have a 95 classic that is a little tired and needs a bit or a perk. What should i be looking to do on a budget of 2K? I need to get a sports cat fitted within this budget aswell as my MOT is due and I have a decat pipe currently fitted. I am in essex, a mile from the dartford bridge so any garages that can be recommended close by would be fantastic.

I'm sure they'll help with any tuning idea's as well.

the car is suffering a bit of both to be honest. Have just spoken to extreme who advised that as the car has done quite a few miles now, its probably not the best idea to mod the engine, so think i will just get the paint work sorted and keep it on the road.

As discussed in other threads if the engine is in good nick a little modifying won't hurt regardless of mileage

I also have a 95 wrx and decided to give it a few mods here and there, nothing major, on a budget as well. Took the car to the guys over at subaru4you to get front crank seal replaced, rocker cover gasket and ignition barrel. I had to replace the ignition barrel cause someone's tried to nick it. And for budget mods: i've upgraded from standard 2 pot brakes to 4 pot and bigger discs and braided hoses, decat (which I understand it is recommended to do a remap after that, so that is the next step).
