White spirit to remove tar spots?
As per the title, can I use it , or is there a good reason why I shouldn't? And if not, any recommendations as to the best stuff to use instead please?
The whole car is going to be clayed, polished and waxed afterwards. Thanks folks. |
That's what I've always done. Just make sure the area is well ventilated and you may choose to wear gloves to prevent ingestion.

Thanks very much.

Or get some Tardis, guy sells it in smaller bottles on Ebay mate
Thank you, but is it better than white spirit (or preferable for safety, or some other reason) as I've already got some of that?
I use autoglym tar remover
Tardis is what you really want, ws would work tho!
nothing wrong with white spirits for the job, 86% of tardis is WS anyway, as long as your not just using is and leaving the paintwork it`s fine which you wouldnt do with any tar remover, WD40 works fine also if your stuck
Thanks chaps, that's what I wanted to know.
