Thanks Lee
I will try and get some inside pics up at some point.

My main problem is time. I am Germany quite a bit during the summer.
I tend to be running around like a headless chicken between the UK and Germany
Would love to come up to Blyton....but can I find the time?

Thanks for the postive coments above guys :) :thumb:

Used to be a bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing but I thought I would go for it.
It started out from a practical view point.

Rot in rear arches as usual. Was going to get them cut out rewelded and resprayed.
The brakes are very good, but need something a touch better.
So needed bigger wheels for them to fit
But wanted to stick to 17s to keep the better handling over 18s
So Apex Bren kindly worked out which 17s would fit over Ksport 356mm

So went for ABW arch extensions and cut out the rot that way
One problem solved.
Wheels with Federals fitted (Went round Mags and he sorted that out)
Arches then cut and fitted
Had a white bumper bumper lying arround from Matty with a P1 splitter
That was stuck on.
Which also gave me a cold airfeed
Looked liked a dogs dinner lol

On a budget. So blue car with a white bumper and big fat arches. So went for a blue, white and black look by default not by choice. And It kinda worked out quite well.
And then stickers for the people that have helped me out with time/financialy over the past years on this.

Retained part of the front arch inners to stop the water coming into the car. As I know you have that problem. It took a couple of attempts to get them fixed far back enough for them not to touch the wheels.
I will show you at some point mate....but might well be zipping about in a funky little duck egg blue hire car.

Spot on that Steve.

Looks a lot different to when I last see it.

Steve

Steve Whitehorn 12 November 2012 12:08 AM

Yes it turned out a bit better than I though it was going to Steve.

I probably wouldnt have bothered. But I needed to get the rot out of the back arches and I needed bigger wheels for bigger brakes and went from there really.

si 42 12 November 2012 03:19 PM

leecalcars 12 November 2012 06:54 PM

Nice Steve have you got any interior pics ?...did you fit the door cards?

Cheers lee

Steve Whitehorn 12 November 2012 07:39 PM

Hi Lee - hope all is good with you.
I havent got any inside shots. Cars in storage for the winter
Engine needs to be pulled ect
But will try and get some inside shots. Although it is due a flat boot floor and proper firewall in in the spring so might wait for that.
It has a real nice custom made harness bar - that I did the drawings for and Harvey RIP had made up for me.
The door cards Are still sat in my basement lol. The only thing that hasnt been fitted.
I can not find manual winders for the front windows for love or money. Need to find a RA that is breaking. But kind have given up for a while.
The rear door cards are out and all the window mechs. My only two creature comforts in the brutal noisy beast are... electric front windows and front carpet :)
