Jerky acceleration at WOT
Went out today for a drive in my classic WRX and I noticed that past 3500rpm it would suddenly stop accelerating, slamming me forward, then start again slamming me back, it would do this until I changed up.
However it doesn't do this when you accelerate gradually, so at first I thought it was traction control kicking in because it was a wet day. But then I was informed classic imprezas don't have traction control. What could it be? |
Which year classic (saloon or wagon?) any modifications?

Tony:) Been told it's probably the spark plugs. |
Definitely worth checking the plugs and leads first

felt like it wasn't making as much power as usual too

Sudden loss of power whilst at WOT could be overboost, have a good look over your boost pipework between the turbo compressor oulet, wastegate and boost control solenoid for any splits or detached pipes etc.

Edit: ignore that post lol it was the radiator overflow tank.
