2011 Saab 9-3 TTid4
Anyone know much about the above model?
There is a salvage 2011 with not much damage for not a lot of money and although it's. It a motor I've went looking for, it seems a lot of motor for the money. Can't find much on Internet about the "4" part. I take it, it DOES mean 4 wheel drive, but how do I tell what power the car has? Manual gearbox, so it must mean 60mpg is possible? |
Been looking at these on Pistonheads and Autotrader recently .I am not sure they are 4 wheel drive ,it may be version 4 or something ,as I think they are front wheel drive only .Twin turbo ,very frugal and manual ones I think are class c road tax which is 30 quid a year I think .!!
Well specced and looking at reviews on Autotrader they seem pretty good for the money. |
Well I'll need to do some more investigating then, as that's quite a buying/selling point.

The ttid was 180bhp however according to the saab website ttid4 is available in 130, 160 and 180bhp. I'm pretty sure it's only the 9-3x that is 4wd so i'd assume the 4 in this case is 4th incarnation of this engine.
I have a 9-3tid estate, it's 150bhp and moves along very nicely so the 180 would really shift. Kev |
I've seen a new 9-5 marked as TTiD4 - I assumed the 4 reference related to it being a 4 cylinder engine and that at some point Saab thought they might introduced a 6 pot diesel.
I thought the only 4WD 9-3s were the petrol 9-3 Aero Xs which had a Haldex system. |
Ask here,
Tid = 150BHP TTid = 180BHP Some Saab parts are rare as rocking horse poo, especially the new/last models - this is likely why it is cheap, along with a lack of warranty. http://www.saabscene.com/forum/index.php |
