Well the police rang me earlier and they said it was not arson , it started under the dash :wonder:

It was parked in my dads building yard where its sat for 2 weeks with no problems so i dont believe it started itself
And as for insurance its on my traders policy so not sure whether they will pay me for all the mods as it owed me over £30,000:cry:

Unless you declared them mate you have no chance, you will receive book value for the age vehicle it is.
Mine is insured on my traders but I was told by our broker that anything you want paying out on upon theft/fire would need to be declared.

Very sorry to be the bearer of more bad news:(

It aint really the money i am bothered about its the time and effort gone in to it and most of all my 7 year old son is heartbroken , he loved it when the antilag wasnt on:lol1:

I know what you mean fella, the time I have on mine is staggering due to me doing everything apart from mapping and now I'm doing the bodywork so I would be devastated if mine went on fire after I'm done, really sorry for you bud:thumb:

Gutted mate, all that time + money gone.
You'll need to check your policy, as some traders policys are 3rd party only.
Hope you get things sorted and GLWTS.

:lol1: Im still trying to find the right ones, don't know whether to just go brembo with standard discs and pads or buy the calipers on their own and then get updated discs.

The price of the larger handbrake shoes is also a sticking point.

I will get there in the end as I'm in no rush. :D

Barnesy 08 April 2012 09:49 AM

Cant really put a price on them until i have taken them off and had them checked but from what i can see they look fine. will be at least a week before i can remove them from my car as insurance need to view the car fist. cheers

I've got these brakes on my classic, they are utterly awesome.

I would be interested in the discs and pads though as a spare set.

Rob Day 08 April 2012 04:58 PM

Im guessing the Turbo will have survived?

What turbo is it, and condition please if known.

Rob
