advice on back to standard
morning all, car insurance has gone up again and thinking of getting rid of the scooby. its a my00 uk turbo.
I have changed the turbo to vf28 with sti intercooler and walbro pump and a remap. The car has full service history and i was thinking it will attract more attention if it was back to standard. Can i just change the turbo back to td04 and buy a standard ecu and not worry about re-map again? |
Well its cheaper just to sell your ecu and pick up a standard one, otherwise you would need to remap when going back to the td04.
Tony:) |
so with standard ecu and tdo4 no remap needed? thats what i was thinking.

Plus selling your ecutek'd ecu will pull you some cash in ;)

cheers mate didnt know weather you had a 2000 newage or old best of luck though ... have you exhausted all insurance companies you never know..

Have you tried Gary Moulson? Posts as Moley on here?
|
I've spent hours on the phone, until I get points off and claim past 5? Years I've no chance. On top of that running costs and maintain costs it's just to much. I'm paying more a year than what the cars worth, so a couple of years with a family diesel I think :(

Fair enough.
I have an intercooler off a 98 car here. |
yeah i hear you mate not easy now days' i sometimes wonder if im mad to lol :thumb:
