The car has sat for two months and i just cant seem to get the money to repair so i am selling.

I paid£7000 so i was hoping for £5000 back,

yer the problem was the head gasket was slightly damaged, i had both gaskets replaced with the same as the origanal ceramic ones, the heads were skimmed and all works carried out by Rich @ Fbtunning,

Did you see my videos ?

banny sti 29 January 2012 01:23 PM

The debris from the 5th gear will be stopping you selecting 1st and reverse, I did exactly the same thing and drove all the way back from to leeds in 4th with a blitz nur spec :freak3: All the other gears worked fine bar 5th that was not there anymore :lol1:

Replaced 5th gear and it was good as gold again :thumb:

dooda 29 January 2012 01:48 PM

How much to have one gear replaced ?

j16jrf 29 January 2012 02:12 PM

yeah dooda watched the vids, brings back so many fun memories :) of dark cold nights locked in a garage with mates building this beast :)

I would drain the oil and flush it through with some fresh cheap oil and see if you can recover 1st and reverse :) at least then you can move it about (not on the road) but to repair and onto a lowloader :) I was going to do the same but had it trailered in the end :)
