what did the boost gauge read?
did it feel faster after it was mapped? Simon |
What year car is it? If its a newage doesnt have multi boost maps does it?
Andy |
the boost gauge i got off my mate its in psi and it reads 10psi so thats bout 0.7 i think.yea after it was mapped it pulls better than it did befor it was mapped
|
its a 2002 wrx bugeye.matey how mapped it showed me the boost maps on his laptop
|
clean the boost solenoid, could be something as simple as that.
|
Yeh try cleaning the boost solenoid my was boosting 0.5 bar turned out it just needed cleaned
|
what boost was it set at mate ? If its lost boost 9 times out of 10 its a Boost leak check all your intercooler pipes also boost pipes from the turbo , Try and clean the cam senser this can also make you lost boost and power
The Boost solenoid contorls your boost cleaning it can help , But take it off the car 1st do it right , if all else fails take it back to who did the map might be a problem with the ecu But please dont tell me your running 1.3,Bar tho mate :nono: if so turn it down I wouldnt run more then a 1.2,Bar but even then it should settle down to about 1,bar You will learn the hard way like me lol and have to deal with a big bill ........... But to be fair I only had the car 2weeks  the car was booked in to get the boost turned down on the 1st of feb :thumb: but........ to late damage was already done  I was told the car was running 1.4,Bar crazy its a classic wrx 2000 on a V plate :brickwall On the up side Im now haven a full build with some treats from Api , down side the cost and haven no car :freak3: |

I've been running 1.5 bar for the last 20,000 miles on a 2000 X reg and most mappers will aim for around 1.3 bar so you're just scaremongering telling someone to "turn it down".

Im sure Simon will be on shortly, but it probably is a simple fix.
Do the simple things such as mentioned above before hand. Peeps - What boost is actuator pressure> is that 0.8 bar ? Rob |

scare mongering think you will find I was being help full 1.5 Bar it's your funeral mate you ask any good tuner 1.5 Bar is way to much for a wrx :cuckoo: 1.3 Bar max then tailing off to 1.2 Bar
Sounds like OP needs to get in touch with whom ever mapped it and go from there. Simon |
