Sky anytime+
As I pay a small fortune to Sky per month I can get the above ... they recommend attaching the router by cable (ffs) to the tv / Sky box which seems somewhat antiquated?! Can I connect it without wires & if so what's the best solution?

If the pictures will be streamed from sky to you, wired is the preferred method for picture quality purposes.
You can get wireless Ethernet bridges but they cannot handle the upload/download speeds necessary to make it work |
Does this work if you are abroad?

Ta, TX. If you know what you're doing then you could simply purchase a wireless access point which would be a lot cheaper. |
You have to have a sky broadband a/c for the full anytime service as well don't you?
|
Do you?
Seems a bit of a daft thing |
nah tis cool mate, u get loads of extra programs/content/box sets etc.
|
What do I need then? Have Sky's router so far ... laptops & game consoles all work without wires at the mo.

The wireless strength on my PS3 was a bit crap so I bought these, and they work perfectly.
Would be ideal for your sky box as well: http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-TL-P...7431819&sr=8-1 Plug em in, use the supplied patch cables and pair the plugs (press a button each) and job done. |
