What colour should I go for??

Seeing as my car will be being repaired and then resprayed I need to get my arse in gear and sort out what paint colour I want to go for. I want to keep it Blue, but what shade/colour to go for??

1. P1 Blue.

Out of those I'd go P1 blue. :thumb:

All those colours are not common and won't be cheap. I thought you would have to go like for like with insurance?

Not if I take cash to fix it instead and add cash ontop and get the whole lot done.
But if it was getting repaired by a body shop they would repair and paint in same colour.

Glass out and back to bare metal first would be my first choice and then the original colour.

Don`t think I could do white, had a white car and a black one and they were murder to keep clean.

Cannon Fodder 03 December 2011 07:34 PM

WR(C) blue definitely the best of the bunch, failing that the P1 blue but definitely not the WR1 blue.

Cannon Fodder 03 December 2011 07:37 PM

Is it me or are there two choices for Colin McRae but none for WR blue?

prodriverules 03 December 2011 07:55 PM

Who's doing the respray Jimbob?

Don`t know yet, thats to be decided. Want somewhere that will do the job for around £900-£1000 cash.

P1 Blue gets my vote...

R1CH D 03 December 2011 08:48 PM

Wr1 doesn't really look good on classics. Wr blue.

No chance, you'd be looking at a couple of hundred quid of glass work, for your budget it ain't gonna be bare metal either.

My next door neighbour owns Cymru Autoglazing, so not a problem to have glass removed and put back in. I can do that all myself anyways as I did work for him for 6+ months and have all the tools, and have done it a fair few times.

Yeah but in the back of my mind I don`t think it would work, looks good on the Blob, but as for a classic I dunno lol.

sonicvr6 04 December 2011 02:43 AM

upto you but i think black bonnets look cheap like your trying to make it look like you got carbon even though alloy bonnets are lighter than most carbon
