wet look ?

is there a wax that creates a wet look finish?

ScoobySteve69 02 December 2011 07:42 AM

Yes, loads...can`t remember what though :lol1:

syko89 02 December 2011 08:21 AM

its more the glaze used before sealant/wax that gives the wet look.

cuprajake 02 December 2011 09:03 AM

if you want one for use with hand then poorboys black hole is good for dark colours, if machine then 3m ultrafina, follwed by your wax of choice,

Truss 02 December 2011 06:08 PM

ive had black hole on my blue un for a while and its ok, but ive just bought some lime prime to attack it with the DA. Hopefully that'll really give some shine!
Wax won't really add to the shine, its the polishing/glazing/cleaning that will.

After i have put a layer of Collinite on what should i use instead of Dodo juice red mist?

Truss 02 December 2011 08:24 PM

zaino Z8 if you really want to push the boat out, immense stuff!

Dave Y 03 December 2011 08:56 AM

put it on straight after waxing?

greatgonzo 14 December 2011 06:22 PM

What wrong with the red mist?

Dave Y 14 December 2011 06:50 PM

i read somewhere that the red mist takes some of the wax off. right/wrong.????

greatgonzo 15 December 2011 08:22 AM

Red mist is an amazing product, it's like a sealant Deatail spray that will give you the just waxed look and give a lot if extra protection all you have to remember is not to apply it on fresh wax as the solvents can degrade the wax so just give it a day before you use it.

Dave Y 15 December 2011 09:41 AM

perhaps thats what i read.I will try your method.

Scroll dowm...mad money, £104!

SRSport 16 December 2011 05:32 PM

Does it last though? I have just bought some Autofinesse wax for £90. Started off looking at the £40 tub then realised that the £60 had double the durability and then the £90 proportionately again plus all the benefits of a better finish, so was worth it.

F1 CJE UK 16 December 2011 06:30 PM

Yes works well with me, sealant work well on its own and is only 35. It comes from the us so price has been forced up by the pound

v6wrx 31 December 2011 03:20 PM

Blackfire is the best its worth the cash

The best wet look i use is bos by swiss vax is hard to beat but is quite pricey if detailing not your thing.
