The First Ever WRX RA LIMITED Made Number 0000. Should He Sell, Or Keep It.

Sorry its a Wrx RA limited version 6

This car is my friends car. I am trying to convince him to keep it, as i think it will be worth a lot of money in years to come.

It has 58k FSH, and its minted.

What do you think guys.

Should he sell it....Or keep it......:thumb:

Wrx RA limited version 6, lovely cars I say keep!

martin850 14 September 2011 11:31 AM

I would keep it unless I got a really good offer for it :thumb:

MattyB1983 14 September 2011 11:34 AM

For a sec there I thought you were talking about the first ever type RA... I'd buy that.

The car above, if he doesn't need the cash then keep it chap. Looks stunning.

LOL thx fella. I am not good with my classic's :thumb:

Any pics from the front :)

I'd keep it, but then I have issues :D

Not sure it's going to be worth a fortune over other classics in years to come. IMHO any classic that is clean, rust free and straight will hold value and become desirable in time :)

If I bought an RA then it would be to track the arse off it as it's what they are perfect for :) Not an uncommon intention, so expensive, well kept RA's could be a bit of an odd market. :)

Do you not fancy a fourth car. LMAO :norty:

Sorry no pictures of the front

As you know, good clean subaru's are getting rarer.

He is about to take early retirement, and he wants to clear out his garage.

Keep it, return it to showroom condition as a project, and store it.

rossyboy 14 September 2011 01:06 PM

IMO The first thing he needs to do is put the standard wheels back on. Newage wheels (especially WRX ones) dont look right on classics. PFFs the exception perhaps.

stevebt 14 September 2011 01:43 PM

I can't see it being worth money as a collectors item as its just another classic shape impreza and there is hardly any of them around is there :)

Must be collectable, it's version 0000 of just 1000 after all. That one looks good + is low mileage too!

TX.

you people at the UK enjoy the best cars of the world in very low prices yet some do not appreciate it!!

Definitely keep it!! This car is mint + rare + fast!!

rooferman 14 September 2011 08:26 PM

The correct wheel for this car is the Subaru 16" rays alloy......same as TE37 .......the car will be worth a small fortune in years to come in standard form i reckon..

Yes, that'd be my approach, if I could afford to lavish my affections on it as well!

EH52WRX 14 September 2011 08:59 PM

Well its up for sale at only £5500

wrx287 14 September 2011 09:06 PM

If he does'nt need to sell it then id store it and keep it for a few years:cool:

He says that he needs the space in his garage. He hardly uses it.

He could always donate it to me!!:lol1:

I've watched it for a while.

Mine had a few more miles and was starting to go a bit on the arches. I bought from API. It was only 2 actual driven owners.

The gearing drove me nuts. Sold it after a few months to fund the wifes hair salon ( :( )
To be fair though I wasn't that upset to see it go. Mine had had a rebuild, 4 pots, Ohlins shocks and some whiteline goodies.

As lovely as it is, IMHO its a bit overpriced in the current market (having said that the buyer of mine was trying to sell it on a few months ago for £6K). Plus insurance is shocking. Mine was only £400 at the time but I think now its close to double that.

Also, someone said to me that 0000 doesn't actually mean it was the very first - I know sounds stupid but its what I was told. Some odd Japanese thing. Could have been cobblers mind you.

Surely the first one would have been, er, 0001? :wonder:

Midlife...... 14 September 2011 11:09 PM

IIRC they numbered from 0000 to avoid 13 so that the total number of cars would be 1000..

If he wants rid then I'd contact Subaru in Japan :D

This is what I was told I think. Its probably not the very first one its number 13.

Its such a nice car. To be honest, I think I sold mine far too quickly and its a bit of a regret of mine.

I'd love a classic as a 2nd car but don't really have the time and money to devote to it.
