Will this be ok ???
I've removed the heatshield that sits above the exhaust which protects the fuel tank. It rattled terribly so had to come off.
So I've been thinking of ways to protect the tank from the heat of the exhaust and decided on this option. http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/...3/72cca421.jpg http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/...3/7a1b75e1.jpg Used some heat wrap and some copper binder to hold in place. Do you think this method will suffice or should I try something else ?? Thanks, Matt. |
That will be just fine

it will be spot on probly beter than the heat sheild

Yep look a good job youve made of that, funny enough still to get around to looking at the heat shields on my own blobeye, one off them is rattling terribly like yours, not sure what causes them to rattle ?? do they just bolt on or what ?? car is a blobeye wrx.

Thanks Zohan. I'm going to investigate further this week, it appears to be coming from the rear of the car. I've removed the heat shield from above the back box so can't be that.
Bloody old cars hey, lol. |
