ooops !!
best of luck, any Bug / blob STi bootlid wil do........just remember they changed the black from Blue / Black mika to obsidian Black for the Blob IIRC Shaun |
Gutted .....at least its only the bootlid by the looks of it
Ouch mate! That looks bloody painful
Ouch... I know how annoyed I would be with myself. These things happen though mate!
That's a bugger. Hopefully will be cheap enough to avoid putting it on the insurance.
Wow that hurts. A year ago i reversed into my sisters mint xr2 (completly original with 10K on the clock) it really was not the proudest moment of my life but you learn not to be complacent in a car this way
We've all done it mate, get a new bootlid, bodyshop, part with a fair amount of cash n try not to be a cock next time you reverse it :)
I agree sucks and feel for you,

It could have been MUCH worse if bumper and spoiler were hurt ;) get one ffrom a scrappy IMHO ok they are blue http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Boo...item2a126c6df5 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Impreza-ST...item2a122fd7b0 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005-SUBAR...item2eb63a7644 Tony |
fcuk

I backed into my security post recently was in a rush but luckily just crazed the paint slightly on the bumper so can get it sorted cheap, biggest problem I had was the embarrassment of it, hopefully if you can find a boot correct colour won't cost to much,
Give Matty at pole position a shout and I'm sure he'll be able to help
gutted fella
At first I was like you hit a what!? :lol1:
Then I saw the pic and I was like  Gutted for you mate, hope you get it sorted. |

i feel your pain fella last year i did this by reversing into a lamp post new bumper, light cluster and quarter panel and boot repspray. |
Wow by the looks of those to pictures it appears subaru don't just use chocolate on the 2.5 engine but on body panels too lol,
How fast were you both going to do that |
only about 5 mph, most car panels are thin metal so no different to subarus.
mine looked worst than it was the bumper and dent popped out ok just needed repainting. |
Have you tried T cutting it! ;)
gutted for you mate, sti bootlids (without spoiler) can be bought for circa £50, respray roughly £100, fit old spolier and lock to new shiny bootlid, avoid skips, job done :)
I know how you feel!
I had my beloved Integrale Evo and was leaving this car park. I didn't notice one of those black-painted concrete/metal posts (that look like a 'mini lighthouse') and turned too tight a turning circle... Cue awful metal-ripping sound - I had dented in the whole of the nearside (driver side, remember ;)). I felt almost physically sick. The side of the car looked like it had a huge wrecking ball slam into it! The bodyshop did a wicked job on it though... |
The caption below the photo made me laugh :lol1:
