'kin 'ell!! :luxhello:

Rob Day 20 July 2011 11:22 PM

Jesus thats mental, what a noise !!

What Transmission is it, semi auto? On my laptop by the sounds the car seems to get a little confused due to the wheel spin and selects the next gear, and the realises it upped the gear too soon due to the wheel spin and then pegs back down a gear for a split second before re-selecting the up gear again..... I will listen again tomorrow on the desk top speakers.... but thanks for sharing this ;)

alloy 21 July 2011 07:45 AM

I should imagine the car was ran in manual mode!

rickya 21 July 2011 10:38 AM

Holy Sheeet!!

grahamc 21 July 2011 05:51 PM

yes, quite a nice sound

Trout 21 July 2011 06:55 PM

Almost as quick as Forrest's Scoob ;)

Interesting that the record pass had by far the slowest 60ft time.

alloy 22 July 2011 08:42 AM

AMS said the car doesnt gain full traction until it's in 5th gear! Obviously they know where to turn their attention to now it has the power.....

That's mental. I liked the rear facing camera.... Silly acceleration!

BOB.T 22 July 2011 09:39 AM

Nice

Sh!t reactions times though! My mates 13 year old son regular pulls 0.0 :D

grahamc 22 July 2011 06:32 PM

I don't think they were too worried about the reaction times ;)

beef-on-the-bone 22 July 2011 11:32 PM

yes please!!!

Terminator X 23 July 2011 09:03 AM

1300hp, wtf  how on earth is it so high?

TX.

john banks 23 July 2011 09:51 AM

Because it uses my ECU code :) Speed density and realtime tuning on the OEM ECU has allowed then to control better the full potential of their turbo kit over their previous 1100 hp. Additionally they have engine block strengthening to reduce chance of cracks.

wrx287 24 July 2011 12:24 PM

Fairplay that drivetrain must be a serious bit of kit to hold over 1000lb ft of torque:eek:

Id have it in the twisties though:lol1::lol1::lol1::lol1::lol1:

grahamc 28 July 2011 03:13 PM

One step further, into 8 seconds.....

:thumb: longest 2weeks ever I bet, mine was 2 years old last weekend

Don't know whether to stick an 850 engine in there or spend the money on something German to go in the stable too :wonder:

Id be going 850 engine or something small and mental for the track, like caterham or ariel atom ;) but thats just me.

Anders_WR1 28 July 2011 08:51 PM

Anders_WR1 28 July 2011 09:33 PM

lol, it's not a done deal yet...I might hate the flappy paddle gearbox :Suspiciou

Got a quote for insurance today, pleasantly surprised...£1473 fully comp and that includes five UK track days and 2 European ones! (competition car insurance)

Not that my Scoob has gone any where near a track in it's life...

I'm north of 6ft3 and heavy build, atom/caterham isn't really a viable option for me!!

Playing with a couple of ideas as to a winter project....need to have a ride in an 850 as as tempting as it sounds i'm not sure the car needs it....

My scoob never went near a track, but the GTR has to see the track because there is no other place you can actually understand how mental the car is!

Let us know your impressions after your test drive :thumb:

I'll report findings tomorrow :thumb:

Found this link on youtube, Lexus FLA 2012 model vs GTR's:

These hypercar manufacturers must hate Nissan, lol
