removing glue/sealant of car body

Im looking at buying a scooby but it has had a tacky roof scoop glued on with sealent of somekind. What is the best way to take this sealent of with out damaging the roof, because thats the only thing putting me of it at the mo.

Wd40 spray on
Autoglym bug remover
Drop of petrol on a cloth (be very careful )

Use an old credit card as a scraper as your fingers will wear out

Hair dryer sometimes helps soften it as well

Make sure you don't have a belt buckle or watch or keys /coins in your pockets as you don't want to scratch the side as your rubbing

good luck if its tigerseal! you'll know when you take off the scoop and the sealant is rock hard!
best to just take it in to a bodyshop i reckon

What he said.

If you know a good bodyshop i'd get them to have a look before you buy.
