hi guys i was driving home from work today and when i slowed down i could smell exhaust fumes comin through the vents could it be a gasket or a crack in the turbo i have a blobeye running 351 bhp 353 ft/lb torque when i put the vf 30 on and harveys headers and upipe on i used new genuine gaskets and that was 6 months ago car hols boost fine 1.4bar

I would check the bolts holding the manifolds onto the head and maniford to the exhaust system are tight - usually, if they are leaking you can hear a ticking sound. This would be my first thought.

Will have a look cheers

First check that you do not have a slight oil leak from the cam cover on to the hot exhaust. You will never find oil on the floor as a small drip of oil will come from the cam cover on to the hot exhaust and burn away/evaporate but this is a regular cause of slight smoke and smell.
Other than that, check your header to uppipe and uppipe to turbo connections. At the same time you can check the accessible bolts/nuts on the rear of the turbo to downpipe. |
I just checked the headers and uppipe all tight no smell will check the cam cover could i smell it in the cabin if the middle cone gasket under the car was leaking

Unlikely but possible. I think cam cover is #1 suspect.
