SKY

Does anybody know how to make a complaint to SKY ? Or is it not worth the bother.

Had an issue (well still have the issue) with BB yesterday. Left if off all day as assumed it would resolve while I was at work. Still off when I came in so I called sky. Was told it was an issue with my power supply. Persuaded the technical expert it was not. Was then talked through various ways of resetting my router. I already knew what to do but thought it best to get a fault logged. Any way 30 mins in the line goes dead, spoke to another technical expert, explained what I had already done line goes dead again. Started to get the feeling they were just hanging up, called back again to be told that there was an issue with Sky Network. Just been on the sky website as I’m at work and the website states :-

• Sky Broadband connection. We believe that the issue is connected to this morning’s outage and we are working to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

Please don’t turn your router off then on again as this may increase the amount of time that you are without Sky Broadband connection.
So I wasted about 2 hours and may have made the problem worse. Just been onto Sky this morning, spoke to a lady in Scotland, very polite and seemed helpful. She is going to call my missus back at 11 and hopefully resolve the issue.

I got the peed off last night I candled MY HD sports and Movies. But I have a feeling this will be back on next week when I get sick of BBC1 and Dave.

Any ideas ??? Should I kick off or not waste my time ??

Get rid, sky are a bunch of tards. If you want a referral link I can send you one for plusnet. They actually employ humans at plusnet.

The only problem i have with that is my line is a Skyline. I dont trust them to convert back to BT. May be an option though, feel free to PM me a referral.

+1, plusnet will sort your landline as well painlessly!

My biggest problem is I like my Sky... And I think Sky know this, and this is part of the problem.

Doesn't take long to get pee'd off with BBC1

I actually changed from Plusnet to sky as their service was so bad.

Sky are wankers, this is fact(as I sit here with my Sky jacket on as I couldn't find another rain coat thismorning)

There is one massively good point about Sky, it hardly ever goes wrong. The bad point is that when it does go wrong, they handle it so badly it is untrue.

Wish 07 June 2011 02:04 PM

Did they call back at 11 as promised ??

How true.

In my experience, if you can speak with Scotland then you're not so bad.
However, when Gupta Singh answers your fcuked!
His missus even asked me once - "How is your weather being"

specialx 07 June 2011 02:52 PM

Have you got the sagem router? if so I think I know the problem! (it is a power supply issue even if the unit lights up)

Rob_Impreza99 07 June 2011 03:20 PM

Email Jeremy Darroch the head of sky, if you read various AV forums you will see that people have had great results when contacting him personally.

jeremy.darroch@bskyb.com

You should get a reply from his P/A, they resolved a problem i had with 5 sky+ boxes failing in the past.

They called back at 11:15.

Her indoors is not happy, had to power off and on again, change filter, remove faceplate from the wall etc etc. Still down have to wait for a call somtime in the next 72 hours. They even asked her to insatll sky software on laptop ?????

Its a Dlink router, already had the sagem one replced.

Is that email add real ???

MIght send him one now, I'm off to prague for 4 days with the lads so not bothered but the misses will not be happy with no internet....

Wish 07 June 2011 05:15 PM

At least she called you back, that would go a long way with me.
Still shyte you cant get online

Ryan@Indigo-GT 07 June 2011 05:19 PM

The standard sky routers are kak! I replaced mine with an Edimax, you're not supposed to but it's piss easy to find out your adsl username and password so you can use a different modem.

Touch wood* I've not had a problem with my connection but all the broadband companies in my experience are a pain in the arse when you have a problem!

Yeh, just put it into google and you will see lots of references to him.

Sky are great, until you sign a 2 year contract then you mean nothing to them.

BigBurnz 07 June 2011 09:37 PM

im enjoying my sky, had a fair few months now, the sky box has had several fits. thing that gets on my nerves is they dont look after existing customers with pricing. good example is one of my mates

he got sky installed, always paid late or not at all. they just cut him off, kept watching free channels then he might pay the odd month but that was all. this has gone on for well over a year. he rang me the other day, he now has every channel, (not HD) movies and sports. he now pays 26 quid a month for 12 months!!!!
:cuckoo::cuckoo::raz:

takes the piss!

on another note, i noticed the other day i dont have eurosport but some mates do.
i just pay for the sports package. this is case for everyone??

grovesy 08 June 2011 01:49 PM

BB still down and reply for email yet.

I have binned most of my channels and HD lets see if they offer me a deal. Not holding my breath.

JPL 08 June 2011 02:02 PM

I had something similar with Virgin, 2 V+ boxes, one normal virgin box, full TV package, broadband and telephone.

I had had it up to me neck with the main box failing, called them and said I was leaving (I would have done too if they'd said ok). I got a fairly good deal back, and they doubled my broadband.

I dont have any sports package, but still get Eurosport 1 and 2..

Gear Head 08 June 2011 03:06 PM

I don't pay for sports but have noticed that I can't view eurosport channels anymore???

CREWJ 08 June 2011 03:13 PM

Eurosport is part of the News and Event Pack. This is one of the six packs that most people get.

classic Subaru Si 08 June 2011 03:22 PM

ah yes, your right mate!
