Hmmmm, not convinced on the keep and prosper argument.
If you put £38,000 in savings at an annual interest rate of 3% and inflation at 2.6% for 50 years you'd have nearly £170,000 in 50 years! Or maybe 22b's will be worth a million by then. |
your be very trusting to put that money in any bank these days lol :>

I was going to invest 50K a while back with my bank, but the rates they were offering were terrible. Plus I would have to sign up for at least 5 years, meaning I wouldn't be able to get at it if I needed to.
I have now decided to put it into another property, wrongly or rightly. |

Nobody is saying it will be a better driving car than say a Spec C etc. That's not the reason it's worth so much. You wouldn't buy a 5000 mile 22B to use everyday, it's an investment.
It's very rare, it's mint, it's got crazy low mileage and it's an iconic car. That's what makes it so desirable. And yes, in 50 years time it will be worth an absolute fortune whereas a spec C wouldn't. The fact it has 13 yo tech and is dated loooking is to miss the point. A mint E-Type is vastly more dated and 50 yo tech, but you wouldn't say it's not desirable would you now? It is probably the only Subaru that will be worth a lot of money in the future and as expensive as ths one is it just may turn out to be a shrewed investment. |
