what turbo do i have?
have been searching to find out how to identify what turbo is fitted to my 2000 ver 6, some say VF28 but some late ver 6 were VF29? any markings on car / turbo help me find out?

You should be able to read the markings off the turbo directly. That'd be your best bet.
|
Theres a vf29 in the for sale section and apparently there only fitted to the ra model.
|
I'm sure the V6 all got VF28's buddy.
Why do you need to know by the way. |
If its a UK turbo then it has a TD04. If its a Version 5/6 STi then it will be a VF series. Not sure which one but i would guess a VF28?
|
Is it deffo a STI V6 fella ???? They did get 28's.

VF29 is Standard on my99-00 (V5-V6) WRX. The WRX RA normally got the same turbo, year for year as the wrx did.

sorted, it says VF28 on turbo, wanted to know because me and my V5 owning mate are of to see Bob Rawle on the 20th and being the competitive type i was hoping to have the later turbo and better gains as a result of my mods which are panel filter, decat downpipe with 3" cobra Zorst.
His being k&n induction kit Cobra exhaust centre section back with standard downpipe, told him his induction kit wont make a **** of diffrence but he says yes! |
