You should be able to read the markings off the turbo directly. That'd be your best bet.

If its a UK turbo then it has a TD04. If its a Version 5/6 STi then it will be a VF series. Not sure which one but i would guess a VF28?

VF29 is Standard on my99-00 (V5-V6) WRX. The WRX RA normally got the same turbo, year for year as the wrx did.

There is no such thing as a uk version 6 sti. All classic wrx and sti`s are imports. And a V6 sti should have a VF28.

sorted, it says VF28 on turbo, wanted to know because me and my V5 owning mate are of to see Bob Rawle on the 20th and being the competitive type i was hoping to have the later turbo and better gains as a result of my mods which are panel filter, decat downpipe with 3" cobra Zorst.
His being k&n induction kit Cobra exhaust centre section back with standard downpipe, told him his induction kit wont make a **** of diffrence but he says yes!
