gearstick notgoing back to centre
 

hi all,i am in need of a part number and was wondering if one of you knew where to find it? i believe this is the part i need as my gear lever is staying over to the left and will not centre,my car is a 96 wrx.
i did a search and found this Manual gear shift system ? Illustration #2, Subaru IMPREZA ? Subaru parts catalog
and i think they also recommended part no 20 but theres the problem there is no part no for 20:Suspiciou
so if anyone could help oh and also where would i order one from around the east anglia area?

Ahh, the spring has gone!
Main dealer part, think i paid £2 or so when mine snapped. Simple to fit too.

Import car parts have them:
SPRING

is it more likely to be the spring or the linkeage then?? the stick seems to pop back to centre from the right if you know what i mean,but not from the left.

I'd go for the spring, symptoms sound the same as what mine was.:thumb:
