psi3 oil temp/shift light wiring help
 
any help with which wires go where on the plug for the oil temp sensor and shift light cheers

ok, it says "for the following models only :- EGV-1, EGC-3, EGV-4"

heres all of the pin outs incase anyone needs them

D1/1 = RESERVED
D1/2 = +12V
D1/3 = GND
D1/4 = GND
D1/5 = +5V
D1/6 = RESERVED (I/P)
D1/7 = RESERVED (I/P)
D1/8 = EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE
D1/9 = FUEL PRESSURE
D1/10 = BOOST
D1/11 = OIL PRESSURE
D1/12 = OIL TEMPERATURE
D1/13 = +5V
D1/14 = GND
D1/15 = GND
D1/16 = GND
D1/17 = GND
D1/18 = GND
D1/19 = +12V
D1/20 = +12V
D1/21 = GND
D1/22 = GND
D1/23 = RESERVED (O/P)
D1/24 = WATER SPRAY/NITROUS
D1/25 = ALARM/SHIFT LIGHT

OIL TEMPERATURE - BLACK WIRE TO GND D1/15, BLACK WIRE TO SIGNAL D1/11

OIL PRESSURE - BLACK WIRE TO GND D1/14, RED WIRE TO +5V D1/5, WHITE WIRE TO SIGNAL D1/12

FUEL PRESSURE - BLACK WIRE TO GND D1/16, RED WIRE TO +5V D1/13, WHITE WIRE TO SIGNAL D1/9

BOOST - BLACK WIRE TO GND D1/17, RED WIRE TO +5V D1/5, WHITE WIRE TO SIGNAL D1/10.

EGT - BLACK WIRE TO GND D1/18, BLACK WIRE TO SIGNAL D1/8.

The diagram of the pin outs looks like this (from datamonitor) ALL CONNECTORS VIEWED FROM REAR.

25.24.23.22.21.20.19.18.17.16.15.14.

edit, the wiring for the oil temp and the oil pres appear to be the wrong way around in the booklet.

cheers found the above in the search call me thick lol but theres no numbers to correspond with the above:brickwall
any idea from left to right which of the above is used mate in simple terms for the less educated lol

FOR MODELS VGS1, VGS2, VGS3, VGS3, VGS4, VGS5, VGA1

GENERAL
The ECU monitor has several additional functions that will require external connections to be made to the rear of the unit.
Please read this document in its entirety before attempting any installation.
Below is a layout of the rear external connections.
Please refer to this during any installation.
Connections are made using a removable screw terminal blocks. Ensure screw connections are tight and well insulated
from the other connections and vehicle wiring/metal parts etc. Only make connections with the ignition switched off and
the communications connector disconnected from the vehicle.
These connectors are viewed from rear of unit.

Connector 1 is a 5 pin and connector 2 is 12 pin viewed from the back of the unit pin 1 is on the left for both connectors and pin 5 connector 1 and pin 12 on connector 2 will be on the right hand side.

PIN 1 – COMMUNICATIONS (TO OBD CONNECTOR PIN 7)

PIN 5 – POWER POSITIVE (TO OBD CONNECTOR PIN 16)
CONNECTOR 2

PIN 1 – WARNING AND SHIFT LIGHT DRIVE
PIN 2 – NC
PIN 3 – NC
PIN 4 – NC
PIN 5 – SENSORS GROUND
PIN 6 – GROUND
PIN 7 – +5V SENSORS
PIN 8 – OIL TEMP SENSOR INPUT
PIN 9 – OIL PRESSURE SENSOR INPUT
PIN 10 – BOOST SENSOR INPUT
PIN 11 – FUEL PRESSURE INPUT
PIN 12 – E.G.T. PRESSURE INPUT
From what i remember oil pressure has 3 wires which go to pins 5, 7 ,9.I cant remember the colours on the pressure sensor though.
Oil temp goes to pins 7 & 8. Makes no difference which way round the temp wires are connected.
