Goodbye Vauxhall - Hello Scooby
I met my Dad on the German/Dutch border today to swap my Scooby for my Astra, this is the few pics i've got of both cars together, and the last time i'll ever be taking of my Astra before it goes on its journey to Liverpool.

The lights thing? Didn't you buy it like that?
I went from a vauxhall's to a scooby a year ago and unless someone holds a gun to my head I'm never going back. |

Yeah the car was bought like that, if i remember rightly after reading his other thread, they are the first things to go. Nice cars mate.
|
I really like the look of the astra and the way it sits, was it a turbo'd one?
The lights came on the classic and I believe he's going to change them :) |
Not bad:thumb: Standard rear lights and standard vents will look better though:cool:
|
cheers to everyone who remembered about the lights :-)
Vents are staying, i quite like them Astra was sat on coilovers set up for the Nurburgring, on 18in alloys, its running 300bhp |
Lose the stupid large scoop, doesn't suit the newage cars, nevermind a classic.

+1 looks daft and out of place, wheels aren't very nice either especially in white and the rear lights must be replaced asap other than that it looks ok
Wheels are staying, i need smaller rims for winter tyres as based in Germany. The scoop is staying as i can't afford to replace it. |
Nice car m8 i went from an Astra VXR to a scooby and its another world to drive
|
Sorry to say but I think the scoob looks chavy with the lights, scoops, wheels and Sti stickers. Each to there own tho.
|
tbh it looks a neat car , much better in every repsect than the astra, i 2 had a cav sri as a 1st car, excellent move and u wont be disapointed, welocme to the club m8ty :thumb:
|
Looks fine by me tbh!!
When you`ve done the rear lights as your planning, it will look great!! |
Glad the lights are going, and tbh I like the scoop too :)
|
Congratulations:thumb: I used to be a vauxhall man but gave up on them back in 2003 after spending a bloody fortune on my gsi only for it to blow up .
|
Both cars look well....how do you find the Impreza compared to the Astra.
My Astra was a 1.6 16V so the step up to an STi was immense and i'm still smiling nearly 4 years on. |

cheers for all the comments guys n gals, the scoop is staying, i can't afford to replace it. The STi stickers are going, but the front badge is staying as i think it looks cool.
The scooby is completely different to drive compared to the Astra, in a straight line its all the same, its all different when cornering as you'd expect. the lights are going as soon as its got its german mot sorted out. |
