dump valve?

what u ppl recon to them, im seriously considering getting one? what are your thoughts?

95turbowagon 02 March 2011 07:50 PM

Down to personal choice int he end, but from what i've seen on here the car can run worse than it did with the satndard recirc valve on, plus the sound can get a bit annoying after a while.

B4D HK 02 March 2011 07:59 PM

i personally like them and dont think they are chavvy but they do run better with the oem recirc............(newage)

SteveoSTi 02 March 2011 08:17 PM

im concernd will the sound get annoying? like u say if the car starts to run differently would it be an issue swapping bk?

B4D HK 02 March 2011 08:22 PM

nah just swap it back if it does your head in. Depends how much you drive tbh mate. Go on youtube and listen to a few samples before you part with your cash.
its a matter of personal taste. My TypeR had one but my blob didnt.

SteveoSTi 02 March 2011 08:32 PM

a guy breaking a scooby on here atm has a blitz adjustable one he is willing to sell for 60 quid!

and i love the sound of dump valves my self, nothing like it, good tunnel = heaven

B4D HK 02 March 2011 09:00 PM

Nice engine bay prodriverules!

Carlh 04 March 2011 08:04 PM

Dont know if my ten-pence worth of info is anygood for you stevosti, but i had a forgemotorsport and as "ok" as it was and quite cheap (compared to other makes) i prefer the HKS III that H advised, better sound, not so annoying, looks better but DOES cost a fair bit more.

If you go for cheap i.e. fleabay, expect leakage and backfiring but at £30 as opposed to £265, you gets what you pay for.

What about valveless. Just remove the standard valve, blank it off and listen to the "squirrel chatter".

deanb1980 04 March 2011 10:26 PM
