ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT

Was driving home the other day and my engine management light has come on! Everything seems fine, no weird noises, still boosts ok, no knocking etc but dont know why it has come on! Any ideas?

Youll need to get it read, is it a newage or classic?

Its a 2004 STi, yeah am going to get it plugged in on Saturday morning when i'm off work. The previous owner run it on Total SUL so dont know if it had picked up some ****e fuel somewhere, once i got it i went to the nearest shell station and filled it up with V-Power

It can happen when cornering sharply with an almost empty fuel tank - momentary fuel starvation - was your fuel tank almost empty?

DGodden87 14 February 2011 01:38 PM

PM sent mate

DGodden87 14 February 2011 01:38 PM

When i picked it up it was almost empty, had to drive very slowly to nearest petrol station about 1 mile away

I get this from time to time, the P0420 code - O2 sensor, I think a lot of people have it mapped out.

DGodden87 14 February 2011 02:13 PM

So shouldnt be nothing to worry about then??

benbrandwood 14 February 2011 02:50 PM

Well get the code read - but if you search on here for the code should give you some more info.
