Really? I think I must be easily pleased as I thought it was alright. Plenty of hot blokes in it :D

Couldn't agree more, turned it off and stuck Indiana Jones on from my Sky+ box:D

Clarebabes 07 February 2011 10:13 PM

It got better towards the end. Plus that fit bloke off Ugly Betty is in it next week :thumb:

sti-04!! 07 February 2011 10:15 PM

Looks ok.

mgcvk 07 February 2011 11:01 PM

Missed it tonight but was it as bad as "The Deep" that submarine thing with Minnie Driver and James Nesbitt? BBC don't tend to do macho stuff very well in my opinion though Outcasts is written by the same fella who writes Spooks which is actually watchable.

Jamz3k 07 February 2011 11:33 PM

TV tonight has been terrible! I'm now watching Starship Troopers 3 and it is beyond ****!:lol1:

So was I but it turned out to be rubbish

stilover 08 February 2011 08:20 AM

Was utter Sh!te.

EddScott 08 February 2011 09:23 AM

It was OK. I'll watch the rest for sure.

I would ask what do you expect? Avatar? At least the BBC are making an effort. All you get on ITV is just re-gurgitated crime drama.

Shame Jamie Bamber (Lee Adama, BSG) wasn't in it for longer - was odd hearing him with an english accent.

No. But you just know that if this had been a US production, it would be far far better than what was served up last night.

I gave it 10 minutes and turned it off :(
Am I the only one who thought one of the lead characters (didn't get the name) sounded like Jean-Luc Pickard?

Production would be of a higher quality but then revenue from the channels is much higher than what the BBC has to spend. Doctor Who is still "a bit sh1t" but we watch it and forgive it because of its history.

The BBC airs alot of things that we watch and like even though the premise is either boring, obvious or just too clever for its own good (Spooks, Hustle, Holby)

It was either that or Star**** Troopers 3 and even with a budget far in excess of Outcasts it looked horrific.

I did think that with Lee Adama in it it might lend some gravity to the series yet they killed him in the first ep.

Also, the only true SciFi series in the states to every get to finish the story is Battlestar Galactica. Caprica got binned, Stargate Universe got binned, Fringe which isn't really spacey SciFi has been moved to Friday night death slot so expect one more series then good night.

Stilover and Jamz3k are notoriously hard to please :)

I actually thought he sounded like Liam Neeson.

SciFi programmes have been absolutely ruined for me because of Battlestar Galactica, it was just too damn good for a sci-fj series. Everything else before and after has just been a bit **** in comparison.

I don't think budget can be blamed for the disaster I watched last night too, the sets were good but it was the same old bollocks actors that the BBC use over and over again.

I have to say I'm not keen on Ros - I didn't miss her when she got blown up in Spooks.

Always has that pinched sucking a lemon look.

Just giving too many bj's in her youth.

njkmrs 08 February 2011 06:42 PM

Absolute Dross .!!
Someone told me it was going to have loads of "S4agging " in it .Not a tit in sight ffs .!!!
Might just check it out tonight to be sure though .!!

corradoboy 08 February 2011 07:41 PM

Boring and formulaic. Looks like another 'Lord of the Flies' tale with a hint of Star Trek thrown in. South Africa looks nice though, almost worth getting car-jacked and raped at knife-point before being machete'd to pieces and burnt to see those views.
