If it is well looked after and had stuff replaced as it's worn then can't really see a problem. Is it unmodified as it wouldn't have been under as much stress then. Also if mainly motorway miles would be better than a lower mileage one that's done all short journeys

band_wagon 04 February 2011 05:40 PM

Looking good :) iirc I got the Sti10 clock off you a wile back ?

band_wagon 04 February 2011 05:59 PM

Also ppp'd

Frosticles 04 February 2011 06:20 PM

If it has a full service history and mainly motorway miles then it's worth that all day long. with the mileage at 114k it will be needing a second cam belt change.
Put an OBD reader on to check DCCD light

SpecDscooby 04 February 2011 06:30 PM

2nd 60k service due = thick end of £700 from some dealers, or around £450 from a specialist, bare that in mind...Cam belt is due during this service....sizeable layout due.

band_wagon 04 February 2011 06:37 PM

so roughly about 1k to get it all up to spec with cam belt service and other little bits ! still not a bad price then ? dont want to sound thick ive just writen off my wrx so now sti seems the next logicel option puls its a 05 wider track diferent wheels ...

SpecDscooby 04 February 2011 06:54 PM

Yup, all true..At a specialist your looking at £600 for a FULL service and cam belt change, maybe less. If the Diff is screwed it will sting...a little

The Pink Ninja 04 February 2011 07:15 PM

Theres a good chance it will need a cambelt tensioner if it wasn`t changed at 1st 60k service, so budget for an additional £75(Aftermarket) to £150(Genuine part)
