Just ring them up and ask, the last time i spoke to someone I got then to supply eight of those 25ltr tubs for the price of the big barrel delivered. Once your in their system they ring you all the time :)

stevebt 23 January 2011 05:57 PM

Just looked on the site and its £135 plus for a barrel, thats a cracking price :D

KickboxingCrazy 23 January 2011 06:14 PM

obviously you'd need this mapped in but what mixture do you run? 50/50 petrol mix?

johnlogie 23 January 2011 06:17 PM

I use them, 10% meth mix

StanS 23 January 2011 06:26 PM

I used them for 3 years a while back (1 gal container per tank). First class service and product.

Not so good if you do a tour of Scotland and carry 8 gal of methanol around in the car!!
Needed switchable map :lol1:

Turbotits 23 January 2011 06:33 PM

yea i all ready have switchable maps one v-power and the other +10litres E85 per tank.

Im gonna switch and start using 10Litres methonal per tank with a map tweek to suit ofcourse.

stevebt 23 January 2011 06:36 PM

20% mix of meths is equivalent to say a 40% mix of e85 so your power is going to jump up :D

Turbotits 23 January 2011 06:42 PM

cool im gonna stay with the 10 litres simlpy coz i have 10 litre jerry cans etc all set up. so its just a different liquid in them

leecalcars 23 January 2011 06:47 PM

whats the best way to carry methonol plastic or metal can ?

Badbird 23 January 2011 09:46 PM

be very carefull
this stuff is suplied as a cleaning fluid its had no duty paid for use as road fuel if you get caught using this as a fuel HMCE will nail your ass the same way as they will if your using red diesel

ScoobyDoo69 23 January 2011 10:24 PM

Thats a cracking price. I was going to order a barrel from Jennychem tomorrow but seeing that has sort of put me off. Is this as good a quality as what Jennychem sells??

rob84 23 January 2011 11:02 PM

I ordered just before the vat rise but that was including delivery charges aswell, worked out at 61.1p a litre. Use it my car and never had any issues seems top notch stuff and came with 5 ltrs of free screenwash too lol

Just done a quick quote again, It's gone up around £12 for the 205 ltr drum

When touring I used the 25litre container they came in + lots of 1 gal plastic petrol containers. Day to day I just carried a 1 gal plastic container.

I handle quite a few nasties at work including methonol. Alot of them come in suitable plastic containers right up to 1000 litre IBCs. The right kind of plastic is pretty unreactive with most chemicals. Probably ok to carry in metal cans as its not particualry corrosive as far as I know. Perhaps others have done this and can confrm?

Be bloody careful with it though, small amounts can cause you big prbolems! Get down to your local workwear shop and get some proper chemical safety gloves and some glasses, just aint worth the risk!

Turbotits 24 January 2011 04:23 PM

yep i have metal 10litre cans which i intend to use> have the gloves etc from when i was using E85 as i was very carefull with that also.

Turbotits 25 January 2011 06:32 PM

Thanks guys have ordered from the above link> just got to get it mapped in when it arrives. cheers

I'm only planning on 5% mix. Trying it instead of OB with Excellium. Got 3/4 tank full of V-Power atm so gonna do some logging on that then fill with Total and meth and log again. See what it says.:)
