Hi,

I need new plugs to replace NGK plugs and was going to order

"Subaru Impreza 2.0 Turbo (2001-2006) - NGK Iridium IX spark plugs (HEAT 8)"

for MY05 WRX and its running 330HP. Are these right ones or do I need Heat 7 type.

Cheers,

Kemp:thumb:

See earlier posts - it's more about how the car is used than just the BHP output. For a daily driver running 330bhp, heat 7 would probably be fine. This is a grade cooler than stock.

Running the heat 7s in my 334bhp WRX. No issues at all. Good plugs.

Hi,

Can you confirm before I order, that the plugs in the Hawkeye/hatch clicky in the first post are the ones I need for for my 2007 Hawkeye STI PPP

Cheers

Just one question, the model number on the plug you sent are LFR7AIX, thought the ones for my car were ILFR7H.

Can you confirm these are the right ones for my car.!!

ILFR7H are the stock plugs - NGK Laser
LFR7AIX are the upgrades - NGK Iridium IX (Iridium Extreme)

Both are the reach type plugs for the 2.5 engine so will fit straight in.

Hi, I got a bugeye wrx running about 280bhp, thing is I prob do about 20 miles a week if that. Just weekend use. Shall I go for the Heat 8 or 7? Bit unsure what to buy. Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers Craig!

Sti Addict 24 May 2012 08:35 PM

Do the iridium olugs come pre gapped?

JP4mance Tuning Parts 28 May 2012 11:34 AM

RazorWRX - heat 6 (standard heat grade) or heat 7 if you drive it hard or do track days alot

BugSti Malone - Yes, Iridium IX plugs are supplied pre-gapped. We'll supply the correct plug for your car ready to fit.

What Plugs

Looking for advice for my 2008 WRX Hatch it is running 280 HP 330T looking at what plugs best suited NGK IX heat 7 of the Laser Iridium SILFR6A6.

Thanks Graham

BrownPantsRacing 07 March 2016 10:49 AM

Hi,

Please could you confirm if the LFR7AIX plugs quoted for the 2.5L hawk would also be suitable for a 2.5L Forester STI?

My Forester will be aiming for 330bhp or therer abouts so are heat 7s the right plug or should I stick with 6s?

Thanks
