just normal road tyres, usually toyo t1r or goodyear eagel f1's. wouldnt mind some 888's but theyre a bit pricey

eggy790 01 March 2011 10:53 PM

try some re070s, they dont seem to be too much in 225 45 17 compared to 888s

Does anyone know from previous years how many competitors there usually are?

Bez300 24 March 2011 10:08 PM

gussy 25 March 2011 08:55 AM

Good shout but I'm not sure I'l be too competitive. Running fairly standard power in the modified class probably aint the best idea LOL

I was running 300bhp with a full fat Hawkeye, came 3rd in Modified scooby sprint.

Power is not every thing,

But GOD I'm looking forward to having a go with 550 BHP.

Anyway, its the taking part that counts.

Thanks for the comments.

car should be back next week, get it run in and mapped for the 17th

Bez

wrxWillo 25 March 2011 10:42 PM

Your completely right re power not being everything but it certainly doesn't hurt lol. Remember my 1st track day, soon realised that having a well set up car is very important when a pug 306 was lapping a lot faster than me.

I'm really looking forward to it.

dunx 26 March 2011 06:05 PM

Glad to hear she's nearly done Bez !

A.J. has agreed to have a look at mine next month or the one after...

And having the cash to fix your car makes you quicker as well :lol1:

dunx

Bez300 27 March 2011 04:23 PM

Yep I'm Glad too. been a long time.

looking forward to been in the 500+ club.

At least yours is still on the road while you have your engine built.

Bez

andyscoobym3 31 March 2011 09:50 PM
