can i fit 6speed dccd box

hi guys is there anyway of fitting a 6 speed box to my type r without changing the diff and rear brake setup? ive got a 6 speed dccd box..

Have to change diff due to ratio, but v5 and v6 typers dont need anything else changed, not sure on older versions

Aren't they physically the same, just a different ratio ?

dunx

P.S. So swap the diff itself, but leave the shafts and brakes as is...

THAT WAS WHAT I THOUGHT BUT WAS TOLD THE SHAFTS ARE BIGGER SO NEED BIGGER HUBS AND DIFFERANT BRAKES TO FIT BIGGER DISKS

The rear diff ratio on a type r R180 diff is 4.444, the spec c hawkeye box needs a rear diff ratio of 3.9. You will only need to change the diff to use the gearbox but R180 3.9 rear diff's aint cheap, I paid £450 for mine.

You will need a prop from an automatic classic as it is the correct length and yes get the diff and everything else will be fine :)
