Custom manifolds?
Anyone know someone reputable or a company that makes good quality manifolds as I would like to use a gt series turbo when I get my impreza

Intake manifolds or exhaust manifolds?
Presumably exhaust manifold as that's what spools the turbo
u mean a twisted turbo set up?
the subaru engine is a lot different to my rs turbo I have just sold, basically I want to use a garrett gt series turbo on my future scooby and would like to know of anyone that can sort this for me,I'm thinking it will just be a different flange on the manifold to allow fitting?
A manifold like the one here but with a different flange to fit the turbo, maybe they could do it as I'm guessing they are made to order and not off the shelf

All you need is an uppipe. The HKS conversion uses a GT series turbo. It wouldn't be difficult to modify an uppipe to a gt flange. You would also need to modify the turbo outlet. Again, you could just modify a downpipe with a V band outlet or similar.

Thanks very much a gt28rs "disco potato" it is for me then :)

An exhaust manifold won't give better spool it will actually make the car spool later.
Why not just buy a scoobyclinic turbo or a md321h,t or v which are cracking turbo's and are a direct fit...
i take its from his ford
Garett turbos are the best, scoobyclinic turbos use the internals of a garett turbo and look like some of the eBay jobbies.
there's no way I would of had a gt28 on a 1.6 It would have been a lag machine if I did,so it's not from my ford,I would of had a gt25 but I got rod of the car to get a better base to spend my money on. St/st manifolds which are made correctly are proven to improve bhp and spool up so don't see how it would make it laggy?? |
