HKS Headers V1-V6 GC8 / GF8
I have for sale a set of used but in A1 condition HKS headers for V1 - V6 GC8 / GF8 Impreza. They cost £740 + VAT when bought. They have only done 600 miles then sat there for 18 months. I did have the up pipe to go with them but it was choped to do a rotated turbo set up. They will run with a stock up pipe, stock cat up pipe or a de-cat / hi-flow up pipe with the standard 2 bolt flange. They start and finish in the same place as the standard manifold so are a direct bolt-on. They sound great, give better spool and will flow enugh to make 500+ BHP. They do not crack or split like cheep copy headers and i know of 2 sets of these that have been run at 500+ BHP every day for 3+ years. I am looking for £400. Pics below:

Will the car need a remap after fitting these?
|
What car, what year, any mods?
|
Whereabouts are you, fella? Potentially interested if I can collect.
Shame the matching uppipe is gone, cos using a standard one would lose the higher flowing advantage of the headers. Higher power potential - agreed - but, better spool?? Conventional wisdom is that the larger diameter loses a bit of low-down power and spool, because they're more suited to the higher gas speeds further up the rev-range. |

Not really.
You have a complete manifold back system, what parts are in it?? Also, the uppipe in the system, has it got a 2 bolt flange where it conencts to the manifold (i.e. like the stock one)or does it use a 3 bolt connection there?? |
System is not complete, as per first post. Up-pipe is not included.

It will fit any standard fitting manifold. |
are these equal length or unequal length?

I have one of Harvey's 2-bolt up-pipes (designed to work with his ported std headers; now sure of exact diameter) - any idea if this would suit the HKS's well? Presumably there's no point in having larger-bore headers if there's an immediate restriction at the up-pipe.
Also, that up-pipe flange looks a bit uneven - what's going on there? cheers ANdy |

These headers have been fitted and what you can see is the remains of the gasket. I should have cleaned the flange befor i took the picture but i will wire brush it befor i send it out. |
