Maggs is the man for the wheels.......

M444GY 23 November 2010 12:42 PM

the grids will go on but you will ned to run stretched tyres and ideally roll the arches to get them under . coilovers is again another ideall mod so that you get the heights and looks right .

the forces you would also neet to run a stretch on the tyres and get the arches done .

they will fit on standard suspension but it will look odd

Where is the best place around Middlesex to get the arch work done before I buy the wheels, to stop all the chafing? :)

Think i would go the FORCE rout as that will be a 0.5 inch saving on the arch.

M444GY 24 November 2010 04:30 PM

erm i dont know of anyone locally there was a thread on here a while back . pm ricky maybe , i think he had it done somewhere round here

Sorry chap only just seen this post,

Yes Archenemy is the one I used, I heard only good feed back from people when asking around when I needed mine doing so gave Phil a call he came out next day talked me through what he was going to do (not that I didn't know) before he even touched the car, comes across as being someone who knows what he's doing and talking about!

I have contacted him and just need to confirm a date when I want to do it, Hes told £80 for two £130 for four not sure if he will discount this as it is prity reasonable.

He does ask what wheel you have and the offsets and stuff I guess toi judge how much pulling and rolling will be required.

These are the dates he's given me :

tues 30/11 PM
tues 7/12 PM
weds 8/12
thurs 9/12
fri 10/12
sat 11/12

If your up for it let me know maybe I can organise something at RTS??:thumb:

Well it's gone up a bit for 4 since I had mine done but I still think it's a bargain!
I was going to say they offer a group buy too.

I my be having to look at getting my backs flared as I've got the back just where I want it but still got the occasional rubbing if I take passengers and the odd drop down on speed bumps but I can't see how they flare without needing some paint and can't afford to get my quarter panels painted!!
All this gearbox malarkey really taking it out on my pocket!:(

Guv mate let me know when you get it done I'll pop down.:thumb:

with the newage arch extender things how are the rear arches rolled?

i want wide rims but do they simply roll the arch and the plastic extender flexes with the arch... i'm unsure lol, anyone rolled there 2005 onwards arches?

TBH due to the fact that you have the lil' plastic trim bit you could prob roll and pull harder the plastic will flex and if (GOD FORBID) the paint does crack on the quarter the trim will cover it!

Ring Phil and ask he will tell you.

Short answer yes....I seen loads of cars on Nasioc will flared plastic arches, the plastice just flexes a bit, remember your not pull your arches that far out, STI arches are prity wide as they are and unless your going for something silly like 245+ then your going to have to worry about cracking, 225 on a strech should be ok.

Guv 28 November 2010 01:21 AM

WHO WANTS THEIR ARCHES DONE?

As per the conversation Russ has had with Phil at Arch Enemy(Cheers Mate:notworthy), we should be able to get a discount for a group arch rolling session.

I have e-mailed him to see if he is available to do 3 cars on SATURDAY 11TH DEC at rear of Ruislip Tyre Service from about 9am

You need to PM me your E-mail address so I can send you the questionare sheet and paypal me £20 deposit (can be dropped to RTS) as Phil will charge a £40 call out if no one shows ( which I dont really want to pay).:freak3:

Cut off for this is Wednesday 1st Dec, so let me know ASAP as he is going on holiday from the 15th and will not be back until the New Year
