A import not running 1.1 bar?

GF8C58D 220 WRX 5 door
GF8C58D 260 WRX STi2 5 door
Thats the code it has on the vin plate still not sure how to tell if its a sti don't they have red inlets?
arnt all imports meant to run 1.1 bar.. i put a boost gauge on it and it ran 10psi then dropped down to 7 psi at 5000k it also goes over 112mph so i assume someone's changed the ecu to de-restrict it ill check what code the ecu is tomorrow.. is there away to remove the fuel cut?

if its a my 93-96 import the derastrictors go on the speedo cable either behind the clock end or the gearbox end,so the ecu hasnt been changed for derestriction but would help if we new what car u had ie wrx or wrx wagon, sti what my.

Standard boost for these is about 0.9 bar. you either need a reprogrammable ecu or use a manual boost device like a dawes device to up the boost. bearing in mind you WILL hit fuel cut and may have to feather the loud pedal in 5th.

Or fit a Polar Performance chip in the ECU. This will raise fuel cut levels and raise the boost to 1.1 bar.

GF8C58D
g, impreza
f wagon
8 2litre turbo
c my 95/96
5 5door
d, manual
8, wrx, not sti as code would be e

so wagon wrx is 220bhp boost runs at 0.7bar

Does Polar Performance have a website? I've had a poke round and can't find one

I didn't think Scott T ran polar performance any more. Someone in the for sale section is selling similar though.

I'm looking for a cheaper option for a 97 car. The sort of prices mentioned in the links but they're all for pre 96 cars.

Isn't the APexi Power FC about the only thing for the MY97 ??

On the enduring solutions site they say they're working on one.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Mine's a JDM so it'll be this page.
