Nice car mate-welcome, i would change the exhaust tbh and new wheels for a spot on looking scooby

Mooburu 17 October 2010 07:07 PM

I’m not sure about the exhaust either to be honest, and it’s a tad too loud, I might change it soon.

I have been finding excuses to drive everywhere haha, 2 tanks of fuel nearly gone. The pic was taken in Penrhos, near Holyhead. I saw in your thread you just bought lamp covers for your new toy, do any covers fit the bumpers? They all seem slightly different shapes.

Depends which bumper you have.

http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...ooooooo006.jpg

Mine (blue one on the left) has the pre-facelift bumper on it.
Fog covers are flat with three 'indents' in three of the corners for the screws.
The missus' on the right has the facelift bumper on.
The fog covers for these have the line that follow on from the indicator in and only have one screw hole.

Yours is a pre-facelift bumper like the bue car in the pic above, but you have a splitter on yours.

BLU 18 October 2010 06:39 PM

As said above, you have a pre-facelift bumper. You need the same covers as I have, same as the first eBay listing I added the link to. Those will also need the brackets to mount them.

These from HTA are the correct ones for your car and have everything you need to fit them (except the paint :lol1:) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fog-Lamp-Cover...item2c4e5b2f09

:-)

big-kev 18 October 2010 07:44 PM

welcome to the family off not having any money no more :thumb: health to enjoy bud

Mooburu 18 October 2010 08:09 PM

Thanks for all the welcomes,

And thanks for the link blu scoob, i was wondering how they fit so you’ve answered my next question.

I’m feeling the cost already, besides obviously buying the car, which wasn’t too cheap, I’ve spent around £160 on fuel in the last few days.

Before buying this I was using a saxo furio as a rounaround, at 50mpg, so it hurts to watch the fuel gauge on the scoob  but at 280bhp and the sound of it.......

.....:hjtwofing to fuel economy

Mooburu 01 April 2011 06:33 PM

Could someone tell me if these wheels are the standard wheels with the V-limited, or what they were from originally?

EddScott 01 April 2011 06:46 PM

Is it a V4 Type R V Limited?

WRX engine with that versions STI VF turbo, roof vent, ABS but no DCCD.

Wheels are non standard - they are newage WRX alloys. These probably came with the gold 5 spokes of old classics.

Nice car - probably better to have ABS in the UK than DCCD.

Anger 01 April 2011 06:49 PM

17 inch Newage WRX wheels on it, would have came with 16's from factory

alexsturbo2000 01 April 2011 07:38 PM

nice scoob! iam new also and i love it....:)

Dirk Diggler 75 01 April 2011 07:42 PM

Nice Classic in the best colour.....

martin850 01 April 2011 07:44 PM

That's lovely mate, you have picked one of the best scoobs to start off with :thumb: welcome to the forum.

Mooburu 01 April 2011 09:33 PM

thanks all, ive had it quite a while and all the little problems sorted.

Its also since been to scooby clinic for a SC36 Billet and Simtek ECU and other bits and bobs.

The time has come to buy new tyres, im not too sure what size to get, currently it has 215/45 R17 but im not sure whether or not to get 225/45.

Now the sun is upon us I'm rather tempted with these http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.p...m54b0s16p59611
