Your car - be proud
After recently taking stock of my 2002 STI and having it dyno’d I was pleasantly surprised to see a healthy 273bhp/260tq @ 14 psi. Mileage 65k
The car is pretty much straight out the Prodrive tin, so give or take 5/10 bhp the car has only lost around 1% of its power year on year. So thumbs up on the overall build quality. However – after scanning over some of the output figures of some of the cars on here I curious to know
And also what mods you have had and the cost. I’d like to hear from those in any range bracket. This may be seen as a chance to gloat or boast but at the end of the day we all bought one for this reason.. |
Type R V4. Lots of nice bits on bit, but engine wise; Exhaust, 550 injectors, Apexi ECU, MD321H turbo, STI8 top mounted intercooler, 255l/ph fuel pump, induction kit......... fitted and mapped by engine tunner.
Running around 370 bhp, I'm a little dissapointed as I was hoping for circa 400bhp. I think all in I've spend around £3500. 0-60 dunno - around 4 seconds, maybe just under??? Drives quite smooth, engine light can sometimes flash so will be getting it looked at sometime in the future, probably by JGM, still undecided. |
