It is certainly a very stupid act to start burning books as an attempt to get back at Islam.

Apart from the fact that it is a serious insult and cannot be justified, especially by what is supposed to be a civilised society, it will give rise to extreme trouble since the extremists will have the complete excuse that they need to really start trouble. It would be an absolute gift to them!
