Shopping list

Okay, planning the next stage of mods, anything I've missed:D

Engine.

VF34/35 (or maybe an SC36 Billet:D)
TGV Delete (just need some welding in my spare inlet to sort this:D)
STI Pinks
Exedy pink plus flywheel

Chassis.

K-sport 356mm 6/8 pots
STI Brembo rears
BCs (if funds allow)

Obviously a remap and wheel alignment:rolleyes:

I can't think of anything else this side of a stroker/gearbox upgrade.

I also need to get a couple more bits of flocking done and sort out a respray, so anyone want to buy 2 small children:D

Sounds like you will have a beast on your hands when all that is done Jon.

JonMc 09 August 2010 10:36 AM

Not a beast, just something to throw around the track:D

rickya 09 August 2010 11:37 AM

Fuel Pressure Regulator
Uprated Fuel Pump
Baffled Sump - for the track
Oil Cooler - for the track maybe
Bigger Injectors for the Billet Turbo
??

Itl be pretty awesome after your mods :)

Fuel pump is done, STI Pinks = bigger injectors.

The SC36 is a 16G equivalent, and the SC38 is an 18G:norty:

FPR possibly, I'll take advice but the fuel pump and pinks should be fine on a standard one.

Sump and cooler would come with a stroker upgrade. IIRC it is an engine out (or at least hoisted) to get the sump off:confused:

Jon what power are going for with all that?

JonMc 10 August 2010 12:54 PM

Somewhere around the 350 mark:D

a5h 10 August 2010 02:04 PM

That will be very impressive on a WRX but will you not be on borrowed time in teams on the cast pistons and gearbox?

JonMc 10 August 2010 02:07 PM

It will depend upon how it treat it. According to many the newage WRX is good for 400bhp in the standard internals:?, but I'll not push it too far. Again with care people have run a WRX 5-speed with 400bhp for a couple of years, but 350 is the often quoted limit so I should be okay.

Worst case I'll have an excuse to stroke the engine:D

Jon i like the way you think!!!!!
:thumb::idea::thumb:

JonMc 10 August 2010 02:13 PM

And by having a new turbo I'll have something reliable with legs to exploit the stroker:D

Rich has been more of a sounding board for my ideas, I think he knows too well that I'll do it when I am good and ready:thumb:

With your forged pistons I reckon 400bhp plus wouldnt be an issue with a respective turbo? Though you would also need an uprated fuel pump & injectors, intake kit maybe, remap, TMIC would be good for the job.

Rich reckons I could easily do 450bhp possibly more...
Have got a walbro in already but the injectors are pretty much maxed out at the moment.
I was thinking front mount because they are so much better for cooling and also cause they just look the shizzle!!!
Also i would think about an after market ECM for things like anti lag and launch control.

P1 Daveyboy 10 August 2010 08:27 PM

Jon was you in Watford about 4-15 today ?

JonMc 10 August 2010 08:28 PM

Nope, got the builders in so stuck at home:(

P1 Daveyboy 10 August 2010 08:32 PM

Just caught a glimpse of what looked like yours from behind as i was going onto M25 from watford.
Builders OK doing a good job. Not Ricky rebuilders is it

JonMc 10 August 2010 08:35 PM
