Mintex pads

Just changed all the discs and pads on 1993 wrx import ,pagid discs and mintex pads, the discs and rear pads fitted great. The front pads were slightly narrower than the red stuff pads that were on the car and had small nipples on back which had to be ground off because they fouled the caliper,is this normal or did they supply the wrong pads ?the box said
92-00 and the part no was one digit out from the rears.

Pagid discs are licenced out and are no longer made by Pagid.

I would question that higher carbon content claim.

Pagid pads are licensed to TMD friction, the same company that makes Mintex pads.

EU regulations state that any aftermarket discs are manufactured to within a 15% tolerance of the original part. Pagid manufacture there product to within a 3-5% tolerance, aiming to work nearer the 3%. they achieve this by putting more carbon in the material which the discs are made up from. Many discs are manufactured to just scrape into the 15%.

And Pagid discs are licensed to?

crnproducts 23 December 2010 03:09 PM

They are licensed to TMD Friction, forgot to add this.

Aztec Performance Ltd 23 December 2010 03:10 PM

I heard they were licensed to Euro Car Parts

crnproducts 23 December 2010 03:17 PM

Thats incorrect, Eurocarparts have the sole sale rights to Pagid discs, the only place you will be able to buy them direct from is Eurocarparts.
