well the tdo4 is abit of a pup in comparison and the 34 is good with supporting mods up to 350/360 which on the road is lively to say the least:norty::D
And being a ball bearing unit it spools up good to. Yeah i can imagine, like how quick the td04 spools but just dies when your up in the revs  |

as i say good smiles per gallon mate;) |
smiles per gallon lol like it :thumb:

power wise very similar turbos, the vf34 will spool slightly earlier and feel more crisp on the throttle and would be my choice between the two.

gems ecu fmic inducion k&n full H&S exhaust gt spec headers/uppipe 740cc inj forge actuator forged 2.0l built by ZEN mapped at the racing line made 350bhp/390lbft turbo spools quick but dies off at top end with its small p15 housing:cry: id go vf34 but aspect to pay a little more :thumb: |
Had a VF34 on my old STI RA, it made 341bhp@1.3bar....a really good street turbo.

the racing lines in halifax + she dosent hold 1.8 for long before she starts to tail off back to 1.3 lol

mines 363bhp 360ftlbs@1.5 bar on a vf34
|
Ive got a 34, standard wrx engine, injectors, intercooler. Only had exhaust, filter and a remap. Makes over 300bhp and about 290lb/ft. Quick spool up and pulls hard to the red line. Boost doesnt drop off at all.

Thanks for the replys guys, do we reckon a uk engine could hack a vf34??? last thing i want is BOOOOOOOM!!!!!!..... lol
|
im still on my uk 2000 engine :)
|
Vf 35 is a great Turbo with quick spool up and minimal lag .Had one on my last car , a MY 00 Uk classic. Can,t recommend it enough. It,s also a lot cheaper to buy than a Vf 34.:thumb:

Mine is a uk bug. no probs at all after 5 years with this turbo.(vf34)

Hair dryers cannot overspeed to 90,000rpm. :) Typically a VF35 is a 340 bhp capable turbo similar to TD05 16G. VF34 is a 360 bhp capable turbo. If you are considering a VF34 also consider a TD05-18G billet. Just because a turbo is capable of a particular power figure does not mean you will achieve that. It is down to your supporting mods and mapping substantially. |
